Weight Loss

My mom has been really frustrating me lately. I went to the doctors for a regular checkup the other day, and I mentioned to my mom that the doctors suggested I watch my weight. The last time I got a checkup was two years ago, and I was 163lbs then. Now I'm 144 pounds, which doesn't make sense because I've been eating more and exercising less since I've been home.

I don't feel or seem to look any different, and I certainly dont believe it. Yeah I'm 144 right now, but what would I look like with 19 extra pounds? I feel like that's a lot. Now my mom is forcing me to eat fattier foods and more often, making me check my weight all the time, and wants me to get blood tests, etc, if my weight doesn't go up. First of all I think shes freaking out over nothing, and second of all I don't want to put on weight or know if I can. I just have a really high metabolism!

I like where I am and I'm already feeling really sluggish from eating Popcorn Chicken all the time and sitting around playing Guild Wars with the crew. I just can't imagine eating more(considering I already eat a lot) and I wish mom would just drop it; I mean my brother looks like more of a stick insect then I do. I don't feel sick at all and I wish she would stop saying that I could have a bunch of things wrong with me. So I don't know what to do now: either put on the weight so she will drop it and then go back to normal, or tell her I'm not going to the doctor and have her mad and on me about it all the time?

Surprise Job

Well I'm back in Herndon. I must say I'm surprised at how fast I settled back in. Missing college, I thought I would be restless. But I'm just chillin. Well... not exactly. My mom and I went everywhere yesterday just applying for jobs and applying for jobs online. Some of these applications (especially the online ones) are absolutely crazy! One I did on a computer at the Home Depot asked me to alphabetize a bunch of stuff. And THEN you get the ones that have like 20 pages of questions with multiple questions on each page asking you to pick things from "Strongly agree" to "strongly disagree". Some of the questions were so wack and out of control almost to the point of ridiculousness. Its like... you know I'm just trying to be a fucking cashier right!?! But somehow they make it rocket science. :P

I was surprised how many jobs we hit though. If we get nothing back, my mom and I will try RTC and the mall next. Another weird thing about the jobs I applied for is that like 3/4's of them require drug tests to join if accepted. I don't have anything to worry about, but somehow that just seems like a really weird/awkward invasion of my privacy. Like walking into Home Depot so I can pee in a cup lol... just seems wack to me. It also seems pointless. Who in there right mind is just gonna roll into work on crack? lmao but I guess you do get weirdos.

Other things of note: One of the managers at Bed Bath and Beyond looked like a total molester of some sort so I'm glad he told me they hadn't hired someone in the last 3 months(isn't that crazy? not good if its like that everywhere!). The other is that some dude that worked at home depot asked my mom "who she was" to me because he and a few other employees thought she was my hot girlfriend. LOL. Hopefully you guys have more luck with your summer job finding!

Summer and Social Fail

Damn I don't believe summer is just weeks away. I for one am not ready at all. I just want to chill. Summer in high school was great; I didn't have to worry about anything! Now summers are filled with so much crap and responsibility. Work, having no license, people who try to make you look like an imbecile then pretend it's nothing, missing college friends, and it just seems more hectic. I'm going to miss college so much just because our group of friends got so close and we never had to worry about drama or anything and fun was daily. I definitely don't want to work either. Jessica met my parents today and they loved her so it sucks that were gonna split for the summer too. Don't get me wrong I love the people I have in Northern VA like Dan, Matt, J9, and the others... but I wish they were at college with me instead. :P Hopefully despite work and other responsibilities we can still make this the most ballin summer ever.

Also, I feel so behind now. I used to be extremely good at being social and had a lot of friends and such... I even felt like I was kinda ahead of my time. But now that facebook is here and I don't hardly use it at all... I'm actually way behind my time. I can't keep up with anyone and when I actually do decide to comment on something Andrew has probably already beaten me to it. I can't get into these blogs my close friends are making and being raved about and I'm so far behind with Sean and Lori and the others it's not even funny. That's one good thing about the summer though because I really really can't wait to see them face to face. But for now I fail. :P
Hopefully I'm wrong about my bad view of the summer!

Insomnia

I was up with my friends and decided to drink one of those NoS energy drinks tonight at midnight. I wasn't playing attention and drunk the whole 3 servings of it. I have so much to do tomorrow and tonight has been one of the worst nights of my life. I had a great weekend but I've been trying to sleep for the last 3.5hours with no luck. I'm yawning and want to sleep but there is just so much caffeine that I can't. I'm praying that I can survive this day and I will never ever do this again :(

Weekend Social

Last weekend, my brother finally got the chance to come down and visit me at ODU. We had a lot of fun and he really liked my friends. Haha I think I've convinced him to come here after a year or two at NoVA.

Ugh, I also haven't really been using facebook at all lately. I look at it a lot but never use it or write back to people. It has offically overloaded for me. It just makes me mad that I thought that being social was a skill that I had; now it's easy to be that social because of facebook and I feel now that I'm not using it I'm just falling behind. Its been the same for LAMATB too. I look at it all the time but never feel the need to post unless someone is calling me out. I kinda respect the fact that Andrew can use facebook all the time and really well, unlike my roommate who will be on facebook for hours doing quizzes, finding bumper stickers, and picking his top 5 anything. I just can't do either. I just refresh my page hoping for something to happen and then when it does I don't usually do anything about it.

Ahh well. I could always try twitter and just live though status updates. Anyone know if that's worth it?

Random Event

Whew, I finally got through my first day of community service. I'm working with a young lady named Kim. Shes really cool, and we spent most of the day talking about her job. They pay her to just come up with a bunch of creative programs that help kids learn about drinking and diseases. But unfortunately she can only find me 4 hours a week so it's gonna take a while. :[

I have a story! I was late to class on Monday and if I wanted to barely make it on time I had to walk really fast without stopping. So I was walking by the baseball field and saw this girl that lives in Powhatan that I've had my eye on. She starts waving at me, so really surprised I waved back. But then I was embarrassed because two girls were behind me and I thought she could be waving to them. But then as I walk forward she kinda comes out from behind a car and says "Hey sorry, I don't really know who you are, I was just waving to you randomly." I was in a hurry so I said the usual "haha It's all good yeah." Then I walked on. She then walked by those 2 other girls without saying anything. After class, I told a few of my buddies about it at Dinner and one of them, Rob, actually knew who she was. After dinner we were standing outside of my apartment when Rob said "Hey." I turned around but had to do a double take. It was the same girl, except she had on a completely different outfit then she did 1hr 30mins ago.

I just thought that was kinda weird, and it sucks that I had to rush to class and didn't get a chance to talk to her. I also ran into a janitor today who told me I had some "doo-doo" on my shirt. I looked and didn't see so he starting pointing around, so I said "where?" and took my sweater off. "I was talking about your Redskins Jersey." he said, and a few of the other janitors laughed. They got me good. :P

Service.

Haha my weekend was a ton of fun. My roommates brother came down and we partied with the crew. I hadn't played pong in ages and my roommate and I went 5 wins 3 losses last night.

Fun aside, I finally met with the Community Service lady. I have to work early mornings Monday and Thursday for our student health center. Apparently I'll be typing stuff she needs to have typed, making posters, put up flyers around the school, etc. Hopefully I wont have to make too many posters though, because my artistic talent is very very limited. :P

My only problem lately is that my Dad is a little short on cash and so I had to throw down 250 of my own money for a housing deposit for next year. On top of that I don't think he'll be able to pay me the 250 he said he would for the Wii... which means I practially gave it away now. So I'm kinda pissed about that, but hopefully my dad can figure it all out.

I feel like I'm kinda at a turning point in my life right now and it's kinda exciting. Although I'm still doing the same old, my grades are better and a lot of things in college still feel fun and new. Gary R. sent me an Inbox message on facebook wanting to be friends again, and I donno I'm kinda indifferent about it. Still haven't written him back yet. Haha at least he hasn't tried to make me look like an idiot though.
