Missing Link

Ahh so my 21st bday weekend is over. It wasn't as nearly as exciting as I expected, but I'm quite fine with that. My roommates older brother had some friends visit, and I was supposed to go to the bar with them, but I ditched to just hang with my friends. I actually don't really have a desire to go. All in all though, buying alcohol for the first time was extremely gratifying and I had a lot of fun.

My van is done again by the way. After singing at Andrews house, I packed up my things and left, only to have my front right tire blow out an hour away from the school. Then, to make things worse, my roommate had to drive and hour out and help me fix it because my jack was broken. He slowly escorted me on the flat tire back to ODU. After like 20minutes of going 60mph on the spare, it felt like it could break down any minute so it was really scary... but I made it back ok. The Van's just chillin in the parking lot for now.

Finally... am I on the outs with some of the Crew? I mean I don't have a link with all you guys because I don't have a PS3 but I thought we were still cool. But then again I feel like I haven't spoken to Dan or Lori in months, and I don't know if its ok to call them or hit them up on facebook anymore because its been so long. Maybe I did something? But either way I was just really sad when I didn't even get a happy birthday from Dan Lori Kit or Joe. :(

Twenty-one

Wow... I'm going to be 21 in less then a week. Finally I will be magically mature and won't have to deal with the po-lease! It makes me feel really old though. I'm excited to check out the bar scene, but I don't think I'd like it that much and it's probably better that I don't. xD
I really don't think being 21 will change much for me as lame as that sounds. But woooo 21! Lol.

Me and 2 of my friends are also trying something crazy. We want to get mcdonalds a bunch of nights a week and collect the monopoly pieces! You can also play online by entering the codes on the pieces, each one giving you a roll on the board to try and collect a monopoly there too. Were basically riding on winning at least 200 bucks to get back what we spent. Hopefully it will pay off! The 3 of us have collected just over 30 pieces in the last 3 days.

Monopoly and I'm gonna be 21? I think it's time to be a highroller again.

Long Time Coming

Wow my blog. Haha it probably thought I wasn't coming back! I feel really bad because I had so many stories I wanted to share including how awesome working at Old Navy was, and my move in at ODU but they are out of my head now. I hope everyone is having fun at college! I was worried when I first got here because it hit me that it might not be as awesome as I was building it up to be over the summer, but it has been awesome. I'm really excited for some of you guys coming down to ODU so I can show how we do it around here!

My van is dead for right now, which sucks. The battery has been wack and I've had to jump start it 4 times this week! But I drove to Jessica's last night and it died and wouldn't even jump start so she had to drive me back and the van is just chillin dead at her place.

I am almost 100% done with facebook. I look at it a lot but I'm just way to lazy to write people back and keep up with peoples birthdays and stuff. I might try a test where I get rid of my wall completely so not to many people will write me and if they do it will have to be by private message. And although I hate to say it I might test out twitter as well. Its starting to look like facebook without the hassle!

Finally, I love my new phone. I'm not very materialistic but for some reason I always need a ballin cell phone. I do whatever I can to use it cause its sweet just looking at it, and Jessica surprised me with a 8GB mini SD card for it and so it has completely replaced my ipod since then so I'm back to being apple product free! :)
The camera is also awesome and I snapped a picture of my van at exactly 150000 miles. I'll have to add it later though because I actually typed this whole blog post with my phone while waiting outside of my 2 o' clock class.

Anyways, I'm sorry I have been extremely lacking with my online activity but I miss all you guys a lot and I hope you're having a great time now that we're back!

Summer... Hobbies?

Overall, I'd say the summer has turned out to be pretty legit this year. Still, I am excited that I only have a month to go starting today for ODU! I think its been more legit cause its been more relaxing. I kinda stopped hanging out with all my friends in Herndon aside from my main group and occasionally visiting nearby college friends. I have less work hours but I'm still making enough money to last me all of college. The problem at first was now I have a lot of free time on my hands but the crew has held it down very well. I'm really glad we're going through this boredgame hobby phase because it is a lot of fun and I really feel like I'm doing something interesting and making good use of my time.

Coming soon in just a little over 2 weeks... the NFL season returns! I know most of you guys could care less but life just feels so empty when there aren't games every Sunday. That and GunZ will help fill some more voids lol.

Finally though, my dad is going to let me use this software that we used to record a song together a while ago(i think I posted it) when he gets back from Florida in a few days. So, I've also been writing lyrics for fun. It has a lot of things that audacity doesn't, many of them more practical and simple for novice users like me. However, the main one I am trying to finish, which I think I talked about in a car with a few of you once, is a rap song. It will probably be my first and last attempt at doing it but it had to be done for the lulz. I went with a simple beat that has its own chorus, and I'm done with 2/3 of the verses(which I wrote myself). Assuming that I can even sound so-so, I'm really excited for you guys to hear it. Here's the beat I'm gonna use.
Haha here's to hobbies.

Summer Sins

Geez I haven't posted in this since May. I feel like if I posted something now no one would even notice! But basically my summer has been..... uneventful. Hence no posting. Searching for a job was the most annoying thing in the world and lately I've been noticing more things that annoy me. So here they are really quick:
1. Discrediting someones story; ex) when someones telling a story and someone else goes "no that never happened" or "you never did that!" or "yeah right!" or even "what?" Just seems kinda rude to me.
2. When people tell instead of ask; ex) "Come to my house after school" as apposed to "do you want to come to my house after school?"
3. Lectures; ex) being lectured on your bad habits or about why you should do something

It hasn't been happening to me directly really but I know it bothers me, especially when my friends do it to other friends. And you know your summers uneventful when you make a list of dumb crap like this. That's kinda why I titled this "Summer Sins": I was hoping to do something crazy. My parents were gone for a week so that was nice but I'm looking for something different then a carefree evening. Something different that know one would see coming or no one would have to know about crazy. Because, looking ahead, the only eventful thing left this summer is the VA Beach trip... so I'd rather just want to fast forward through work and get back to college! But until then, who knows, maybe just try to sin it up a little. Or maybe not. Whatever. ;D

Weight Loss

My mom has been really frustrating me lately. I went to the doctors for a regular checkup the other day, and I mentioned to my mom that the doctors suggested I watch my weight. The last time I got a checkup was two years ago, and I was 163lbs then. Now I'm 144 pounds, which doesn't make sense because I've been eating more and exercising less since I've been home.

I don't feel or seem to look any different, and I certainly dont believe it. Yeah I'm 144 right now, but what would I look like with 19 extra pounds? I feel like that's a lot. Now my mom is forcing me to eat fattier foods and more often, making me check my weight all the time, and wants me to get blood tests, etc, if my weight doesn't go up. First of all I think shes freaking out over nothing, and second of all I don't want to put on weight or know if I can. I just have a really high metabolism!

I like where I am and I'm already feeling really sluggish from eating Popcorn Chicken all the time and sitting around playing Guild Wars with the crew. I just can't imagine eating more(considering I already eat a lot) and I wish mom would just drop it; I mean my brother looks like more of a stick insect then I do. I don't feel sick at all and I wish she would stop saying that I could have a bunch of things wrong with me. So I don't know what to do now: either put on the weight so she will drop it and then go back to normal, or tell her I'm not going to the doctor and have her mad and on me about it all the time?

Surprise Job

Well I'm back in Herndon. I must say I'm surprised at how fast I settled back in. Missing college, I thought I would be restless. But I'm just chillin. Well... not exactly. My mom and I went everywhere yesterday just applying for jobs and applying for jobs online. Some of these applications (especially the online ones) are absolutely crazy! One I did on a computer at the Home Depot asked me to alphabetize a bunch of stuff. And THEN you get the ones that have like 20 pages of questions with multiple questions on each page asking you to pick things from "Strongly agree" to "strongly disagree". Some of the questions were so wack and out of control almost to the point of ridiculousness. Its like... you know I'm just trying to be a fucking cashier right!?! But somehow they make it rocket science. :P

I was surprised how many jobs we hit though. If we get nothing back, my mom and I will try RTC and the mall next. Another weird thing about the jobs I applied for is that like 3/4's of them require drug tests to join if accepted. I don't have anything to worry about, but somehow that just seems like a really weird/awkward invasion of my privacy. Like walking into Home Depot so I can pee in a cup lol... just seems wack to me. It also seems pointless. Who in there right mind is just gonna roll into work on crack? lmao but I guess you do get weirdos.

Other things of note: One of the managers at Bed Bath and Beyond looked like a total molester of some sort so I'm glad he told me they hadn't hired someone in the last 3 months(isn't that crazy? not good if its like that everywhere!). The other is that some dude that worked at home depot asked my mom "who she was" to me because he and a few other employees thought she was my hot girlfriend. LOL. Hopefully you guys have more luck with your summer job finding!
